OKEECHOBEE — Okeechobee County Schools sent out a notice to parents on Friday, Nov. 6, via text and the OCS mobile app regarding the air conditioning at the school.
“Good morning, Brahman Families. Earlier today, a contractor severed the power line supplying Okeechobee High School’s air conditioning chiller plant. FPL has been notified, but repairs are expected to take several hours. As a result, the school will likely be without air conditioning for the remainder of the afternoon.
Students may be checked out following normal checkout procedures. Students who drive may leave after their parent contacts the office and staff authorize their release.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue.”
