OKEECHOBEE- The Okeechobee High School Brahman wrestling program wrapped up their season with a banquet at the OHS cafeteria on April 17.
The Brahman boys finished in fourth place at the district level. Then, at the regional tournament, they came back with a twelfth place finish out of 32 teams. Two Brahman boys qualified for the state tournament, Falco Frank and Clayton Wolf, with Clayton securing an eighth place finish in his senior year.
The Lady Brahman wrestlers came out of districts with three qualifiers for the regional tournament, Callie Dickie, Naveah Robinson, and Patrice Cooper. Robinson went on the qualify for the state tournament and finished in seventh place in the state.
Clayton Wolf was given the MVP Award at the Brahman wrestling banquet for his achievements this season. The MVP Award for the girls went to Naveah Robinson. The Brahman Award was given to William Crum this year,
The team continues to practice with the Chobee Wrestling Club continues to practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. Elementary and Middle school teams are also practicing and participating in weekend tournaments.
