OKEECHOBEE — The week of Sept. 15, students in Ms. Allen’s class at Seminole Elementary School explored the day and night cycle in science class by using flashlights to demonstrate sunlight on the Earth as it rotates. They had a hands-on opportunity to see how sunlight hits different parts of the Earth at different times, helping them better understand why we have day and night. [Photo courtesy Seminole Elementary]
