OKEECHOBEE — The 5th Annual David A. Daniel Foundation Fishing Tournament was a fantastic day on the water and a fitting tribute to a great young man who loved to fish. At safe light, 20 boats left C. Scott Driver ready for a day of friendly competition on the water. With beautiful weather and fish eager to bite, anglers returned for the 2 p.m. weigh-in, making another memorable and meaningful tournament for all involved.
The results of the tournament are as follows:
• First place went to Chad Ellerbee and Ryan Folsom with 22.19 pounds.
• Second place went to Dirk Coxon and Daniel Hinkelman with 21.01 pounds and big fish weighing 7.73 pounds.
• Third place went to David Straight and Darryl Bowers with 18.03 pounds.
• Fourth place went to Paul Lynch and Donnie Tomlin with 15.59 pounds.
• Big Fish went to Dirk Coxon and Daniel Hinkelman with a 7.73-pound bass.
