Easter thoughts ...

Posted

Hearts around the world will swell with joy this Easter as they celebrate The Resurrection, and the moment when God took Jesus up in the cloud to sit at His Right Hand on The Throne, bringing His plan of salvation for mankind to fruition and ending the sorrowful path that Jesus took to make His Father’s plan a reality.

“For God so loved the world that He gave (sacrificed) His only Son.

How wonderful that God’s gift of salvation for mankind was completed and set in motion at this time. God said, “Whosoever confesses with his mouth and believes in his heart Jesus as Lord shall be saved.” God will never again remember his sins -- past, present, or future.

We marvel at God’s love for Man and we marvel at the obedience of Jesus to His Father. “I do always the things to please My Father.” What it cost the Savior and His Father we should never forget, but deep in our hearts remember the sufferings unfathomable that led to the Cross. These words that Jesus cried out show His anguish as He trod the path of obedience to His Father: “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?”

So turn your heart to God and accept Jesus as your savior. Praise His name. Sing praises to God, the One we serve now and will praise for all of Eternity.
