OKEECHOBEE COUNTY -- Over the weekend three reported crashes occurred in Okeechobee County. All were reported on Florida’s Turnpike and worked by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
On June 21, there was a single vehicle crash into a guardrail at 4:14 a.m. near mile marker 188. No injuries were reported. The 2024 Gray Honda involved in the crash was driven by 21-year-old male from Miami Gardens.
On June 22, there was another single vehicle crash into a guardrail at 1:30 p.m. near mile marker 182. No injuries were reported. The 2023 Gray Mercedes involved in the crash was driven by 38-year-old male from Boca Raton.
On June 23, a hit and run accident was reported at 4:03 a.m. The crash occurred at the Fort Drum Service Plaza fuel bay. A red and black 2023 Volvo and a Semi cab hauling double white trailer were involved. No other information has been released regarding this crash.
