FWC operates shooting ranges in Florida

Shooting sports enthusiasts can enjoy 11 ranges managed by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) including several in South Central Florida.

Triple N Ranch

The Triple N Ranch Wildlife Management Area shooting facility, 595 Donovan Crews Road in St. Cloud, features supervised rifle and handgun ranges as well as a 19-station sporting clays course. The facility accommodates hunter safety students and the public, providing a place to gain skills and knowledge for safe, responsible firearms handling and target shooting.

The range offers:

  • 20 position 200-yard rifle range
  • 28 position 50/100-yard rifle range
  • 34 position 15/25-yard handgun range
  • 34 position 50-foot handgun range 
  • Automated 19-station sporting clays course
  • 5-stand sporting clays
  • 10-station 3D archery course
  • 5 field archery targets

Shooting range use fee is $12 plus tax per day. Youth ages 15 and under are admitted free with fee-paying adult over the age of 21.

Shooters can use any combination of rifle and handgun ranges during their visit.

Sporting clays are $38 per 100 targets. Archery range is $12 plus tax per day. Youth 15 and under are admitted free with fee-paying adult over the age of 21. Golf cart rentals are available for $20.

The range is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sundays.

The range is closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Participants are required to complete a short safety program on their first visit to the range.

Target frames on the rifle and handgun ranges are provided. Shooters must bring targets to attach to the center of the frames, or they can purchase targets in the concession store.

The concession store has restrooms. Drinking water, eye and ear protection, ammunition and other convenience items for sale. Rental shotguns and clay carts are available for the sporting clays course.

Palm Beach County Shooting Sports Complex

The Palm Beach County Shooting Sports Complex, 11730 Seminole Pratt Whitney Road in West Palm Beach was built by the FWC in partnership with Palm Beach County. It features supervised rifle and handgun ranges and automated sporting clays, 5-stand, skeet, and American and Olympic trap fields. The project was supported through funding from the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration program. 

The range offers:

  • 6-position 300-yard rifle range
  • 20-position 200-yard rifle range
  • 20-position 100-yard rifle range
  • 42-position 25/50-meter handgun range
  • 30-position 10-meter/50-foot handgun range
  • 6 automated American trap fields
  • 9 automated skeet fields
  • 5 automated International (Bunker) trap fields
  • Automated 15-station sporting clays course
  • Automated 5-stand sporting clays field

Hourly fee for the 300-yard and 200-yard ranges is  $24.95. One-hour rotations are required when customers are waiting to shoot.

The 300-yard rifle range and 200-yard rifle range are designed for experienced shooters.  Users must qualify before they can shoot on the 300- and 200-yard rifle ranges by meeting one of the two following options: Present an NRA rifle classification card (Marksman through High Master); or fire five shots at 100-yards on the 100-yard rifle range keeping all five shots inside of the scoring rings on standard NRA targets. 

Fee for the 100-yard rifle range and handgun range is $14.95 per day. Daily fee includes access to the 100-yard rifle range and all handgun ranges.  One-hour rotations are required when customers are waiting to shoot.

Cecil M. Web Public Shooting Range

The Cecil M. Web Public Shooting Range, on Tucker Grade Road in the Babcock/Webb Wildlife Management Area (exit Tucker Grade Road off I-75 and head east) was built in 1963.

The range has:

  •  5-position 100/200-yard rifle range
  • 10-position 25/50/100-yard rifle range
  • 12-position 7.5/15/25/50-yard small bore rifle/handgun range
  • 3 single-station, self-throw shotgun pads

Shooters must have a valid wildlife area permit or pay $3 per person entry fee or $6 per vehicle.

The range is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The last shot fired is 4:45 p.m. The range is closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Indian River County Shooting Range

Indian River County Shooting Range, 10455 102nd Terrace Sebastain, is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Admissions close at 4:30 p.m.) Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The range is closed Martin Luther King Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

The range has:

  • 2-position 200-yard rifle range
  • 29-position 100-yard rifle range
  • 35-position 25-yard handgun range 
  • Automated 15-station sporting clays course
  • Automated 5-stand sporting clays field
  • 3 automated trap/skeet fields 
  • 5-position 15-yard air rifle range
  • Stationary archery range out to 65 yards
  • Walk-through archery course

Fee is $15 per day for the rifle/handgun range. Youth ages 10-17 pay $10 (plus tax). Air rifle range is $4, youth pay $2.50 (plus tax). Stationary archery range is $4; Youth pay $2.50 (plus tax). Walk through archery range is $5 and youth pay $3.50 (plus tax).
