OKEECHOBEE — On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, Okeechobee Police Department Detectives received a tip of reported child pornography being uploaded and viewed at a residence on NW 3rd Street.
Upon further investigation, Detective B. Drapal was granted a search warrant and on Friday, May 17, 2024, an operation was conducted by the Okeechobee Police Department CID, along with the assistance of The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s and SWAT, that resulted in the arrest of 38-year-old, Michael Stone.
Stone is currently facing 48 counts of possession of child pornography. He has been booked into the Okeechobee County Jail; bond was set at $4.5 million dollars.
