Mayor Dowling Watford is Okeechobee's "full service" mayor. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty and was found early Monday morning (Oct. 13) cleaning up the  pumpkin patch  at First United Methodist Church, 200 N.W. Second Street.

The church's annual pumpkin patch is open seven days a week. “This is an honor system,” explains the sign. “Make your selection following the guidelines on the window and place your money in the mail slot. We may not be here, but remember, God is always watching you!”
