OKEECHOBEE — We at the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office would like to take a moment to thank the Okeechobee Home School Group and our friends at Team Publix, Okeechobee, for the amazing treats and sandwich platters delivered to our Sheriff’s Office in recognition of September 11th Remembrance Day.

A special thank you to the Publix team:

Bill DuPree, Store Manager

Melanie Pereira, Assistant Store Manager

Brittany Vickers, Customer Service Manager

Malinda Mazanoski, Bakery Manager

Your kindness, generosity, and continued support of our men and women are sincerely appreciated.

September 11th is a day of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude for those who served, sacrificed, and ran toward danger when others were trying to escape. Gestures like yours remind our first responders just how much support exists within the community we are honored to serve.

From all of us at the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office, thank you for thinking of us and for helping make a meaningful day of remembrance even more special.
