OCSO investigates theft of horses

Posted
The Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office responded to a complaint of three horses stolen from a property in the northwest section of Okeechobee County early Saturday morning, Nov. 9.

Evidence from the scene suggests that the fencing was cut, and the horses were taken from the property to deprive the owners.

OCSO investigators are aware of and are collaborating with nearby counties that experienced similar incidents over the weekend.

We urge everyone in the area to stay alert for unusual vehicles and advise against following or confronting anyone.

Please call our non-emergency office at 863-763-3117 if you have information about this or any crime.
