OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in an active death investigation that is being treated as a homicide.
On Sunday Oct. 19, 2025, Santos Gaucin was found deceased from a gunshot wound inside his vehicle near his residence in the Debbie Park neighborhood in Okeechobee County. This incident is currently being investigated as a homicide.
Our Criminal Investigations Division is actively working this case. Detectives are asking anyone who may have information, no matter how minor it may seem, to come forward. Even the smallest detail can be critical in helping us piece together what occurred.
