The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).
• Steven Garcia, 28, Northwest 36th Avenue, was arrested Sept. 22 by OCSO and charged with shooting a missile into a dwelling or vehicle, criminal mischief, neglect of a child without great bodily harm and resisting arrest without violence. Bond was set at $9,000.
• Emily Garrard, 19, Southeast 43rd Street, was arrested Sept. 22 by OPD and charged with possession of cocaine. Bond was set at $5,000.
• Dustin Bressler, 20, at large, was arrested Sept. 21 by OCSO and charged with unarmed burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, trespass of an unoccupied structure, resisting arrest without violence and criminal mischief. Bond was set at $6,500.
• Sherri Stephenson, 32, U.S. 441 Southeast, was arrested Sept. 19 and charged with gross fraud and introducing contraband into a detention facility. Bond was set at $10,000.
• Edward Barsh, 47, Northeast Eighth Avenue, was arrested Sept. 19 and charged with unarmed burglary of an unoccupied structure and petit theft. Bond was set at $10,000.
• John Hair, 36, Northwest 160th Drive, was arrested Sept. 19 by OCSO and charged with tampering with evidence and violation of pretrial condition. Bond was set at $70,000.
• Ty’juan Lewis, 18, Northeast 16th Avenue, was arrested Sept. 18 and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, improper exhibition of a deadly weapon, grand theft auto, fleeing or eluding law enforcement, leaving the scene of an accident involving damage, obstructing without violence and discharging a firearm from a vehicle. Bond was set at $67,500.
• Nikki Taylor, 29, U.S. 441 Southeast, was arrested Sept. 23 and charged with trafficking in cocaine, DUI and habitually driving without a license. Bond was set at $42,500.
