Okeechobee Arrest Report
The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).
• Charles Bennett, 20. Northeast 168th Street, was arrested July 1 by OCSO and charged with battery inmate on inmate after reportedly throwing bodily fluid on another inmate. Bond was set at $10,000.
• James Hill, 57, U.S. 441 Southeast, was arrested July 1 by OCSO and charged with driving on a permanently revoked license. Bond was set at $20,000.
• Salomon Serrano Jr., 27, Northeast 51st Court, was arrested July 1 by OCSO and charged with aggravated battery on a pregnant woman. According to the arrest report, Serrano hit the woman, who is 7 months pregnant, multiple times in the head and then smashed her head into a pillar. Bond was set at $25,000.
• Matthew Macias, 26, Belle Glade, was arrested July 1 by ONTF and charged with aggravated assault on a pregnant woman. According to the arrest report, Macias and the woman had an argument while in their vehicle. The woman threw her phone at Macias and then began swinging at him. Although she claims he hit her, Macias claims he did not hit her but pushed her away. The woman, who is 6 months pregnant, was charged with assault, a misdemeanor. Macias’ bond was set at $5,000.
• Betty Scrutin, 47, Northwest 82nd Court, was arrested July 2 by OCSO and charged with DUI and driving without a license. Scrutin reportedly refused the breath test. Bond was set at $2,000.
• Dejaih Jackson, 29, Northwest 10th Street, was arrested July 2 by OPD and charged with tampering with a witness or victim and battery after reportedly kicking a woman in the stomach and punching her in the face. Bond was set at $2,500.
• William Welch, 28, Orlando, was arrested July 3 by OCSO and charged with DUI after he was reportedly observed driving a golf cart on U.S. 441 Southeast. His breath test results were reported to be 0.140 and 0.137. Bond was set at $750.
• Maylon Davis, 51, Northwest 12th Avenue, was arrested July 3 by OCSO and charged with DUI. Davis’ breath test results were reported to be 0.209 and 0.196. Bond was set at $750.
• Heriberto Franco, 25, Sebring, was arrested July 4 by OCSO and charged with DUI and violating license restrictions. Franco reportedly refused a breath test. Bond was set at $1,000.
• Alexandra Ramirez, 18, Northeast Ninth Way, was arrested July 4 by OCSO and charged with DUI. Her breath test results were reported to be 0.151 and 0.152. Bond was set at $750.
• Jonathan Garcia, 19, Northwest Seventh Street, was arrested July 4 by OCSO and charged with possession of cocaine and DUI. Garcia reportedly refused the breath test. Bond was set at $5,750.
• Kenneth Thomas, 46, Southeast 33rd Terrace, was arrested July 4 by OCSO and charged with DUI third violation within 10 years and driving without a license. Thomas’ breath test results were reported to be 0.252 and 0.249. Bond was set at $12,500.
• Timothy Smith, 34, Mobile, Al., was arrested July 5 by OCSO and charged with three counts violation of probation on felony charges. He is being held without bond.
• Robert Bell, 49, Northwest Second Street, was arrested July 6 by OCSO and charged with grand theft auto and trespass after he reportedly went on someone’s property after he was trespassed the day before and drove their $80,000 John Deere tractor. Bond was set at $3,250.
• Kylee Smith, 18, Southeast 67th Drive, was arrested July 6 by ONTF and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of synthetic cannabinoid, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $16,000.
• Gordon Trimble, 21, Northwest 300th Street, was arrested July 6 by OCSO and charged with DUI with damage to property. Bond was set at $1,000.
