Okeechobee Arrest Report

The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OCPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC), Criminal Action Team (CAT) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).

  • James Covington, 46, U.S. 441 Southeast, was arrested July 23 by OCSO Deputy Victor Cabrera and charged with driving on a suspended license/third or subsequent offense. Bond was set at $1,000.
  • Jay Plummer was arrested July 27 and charged with two counts aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
  • Melissa Garza was arrested July 27 and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Antonio Landaverde, 28, Northwest 18th Street, was arrested July 24 by ONTF and charged with possession of cocaine and display of a firearm during a felony. Bond was set at $12,500.
  • Brian Senna, 41, at large, was arrested July 25 by OCSO Deputy Dan Franklin and charged with possession of methamphetamine and driving without a license. Bond was set at $11,000.
  • Alfonso Lares Jr. was arrested July 29 and charged with possession of a synthetic cannabinoid, driving on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
