The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OCPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC), Criminal Action Team (CAT) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).
- Billy Bailey, 23, U.S. 441 Southeast, was arrested Nov. 13 by OCSO Deputy Karson Reno and charged with driving without a motorcycle license, possession of methamphetamine and failure to register a motor vehicle. Bond was set at $6,000.
- Anthony Ackland, 41, Southeast 29th Lane, was arrested Nov. 16 by OCSO Deputy Frank Incorvaia and charged with shooting a firearm in a residential area, improper exhibition of a firearm and possession of marijuana over 20 grams.
- Brittany Alfonso, 38, Southwest 19th Street, was arrested Nov. 17 by OCSO Deputy Dalton Pitts and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence. Bond was set at $5,500.
- Loren Johnston, 40, Southwest 28th Street, was arrested Nov. 17 by OCSO Deputy Dalton Pitts and charged with resisting arrest, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and failure to obey law enforcement. Bond was set at $16,500.
- Joseph McCarthy, 36, Crestview, was arrested Nov. 18 by OCSO Deputy Karson Reno and charged with fleeing law enforcement and racing a motor vehicle on a highway. Bond was set at $16,000.
- Leon Copeland, 19, Oakland Park, was arrested Nov. 19 by OCSO Deputy Todd Addington and charged with battery/detainee on detainee. Bond was set at $5,000.
- Jeffory Williams, 59, southeast 94th Trail, was arrested by OCSO Deputy Victor Cabrera and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $6,000.
- Christopher Reyna, 39, Southeast Sixth Avenue, was arrested Nov. 20 by OCSO Deputy M. Duran and charged with domestic battery/second or subsequent offense. Bond was set at $5,000
- Brian Rucks, 45, Southeast 28th Street, was arrested Nov. 20 by OCSO Deputy Noan Jones and charged with battery, hindering contact with law enforcement and assault. He is being held without bond.
