The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OCPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC), Criminal Action Team (CAT) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).
- LaCaris Williams, 36, South Parrott Avenue, was arrested Dec. 18 by OCSO Deputy Todd Addington and charged with sex predator/transient/failure to register within 48 hours. Bond was set at $10,000.
- Christopher Matanane, 42, Southeast 57th Drive, was arrested Dec. 20 by OCSO Deputy Mark Wright and charged with battery and child abuse. Bond was set at $11,000.
- Dakota Long, 20, U.S. 441 Southeast, was arrested Dec. 22 by OCSO Deputy Roy Gilchrist and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery and possession of cocaine. Bond was set at $33,500.
- Jo’Navia Dantrell, 21, Northwest 176th Avenue, was arrested Dec. 22 by OCSO Deputy Victor Cabrera and charged with possession of psilocybin, possession of marijuana resin, possession of marijuana under 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.
- Taylor Clance, 27, at large, was arrested Dec. 19 by OCSO Deputy Karson Reno and charged with possession of fentanyl and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $5,500.
- Davian Salazar, 19, Northwest 25th Avenue, was arrested Dec. 21 by OCPD Officer Ted Van Deman and charged with felony criminal mischief. Bond was set at $2,500.
- Wilian Lopez, 27, Southwest Park Street, was arrested Dec. 20 by OCSO Deputy Jennifer Fairtrace and charged with DUI, operating a motor vehicle without a license and refusal to submit to DUI testing. Bond was set at $11,000.
- Candace Burress, 62, Southwest 13th Way, was arrested Dec. 20 by OCSO Deputy Misei Esquivel and charged with DUI with property damage, leaving the scene of a crash and refusal to submit to DUI testing. Bond was set at $2,000.
- Richard Carpenter, 59, Southeast 25th Street, was arrested Dec. 19 by OCPD Officer Ted Van Deman and charged with DUI and refusal to submit to DUI testing. Bond was set at $1,500.
