The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).
• William Bennett, 37, Southeast 54th Terrace, was arrested Dec. 22 by OCSO and charged with grand theft after reportedly stealing his mother’s MacBook Air and pawning it. Bennett reportedly told deputies he borrowed the laptop, and his mother never asked for it back until after he was arrested. His bond was set at $5,000.
• Alexander Campbell, 19, Northwest 40th Drive, was arrested Dec. 27 by OCSO and charged with DUI and street racing. His breathalyzer results were reportedly 0.124 and 0.109. Bond was set at $5,500.
• Jose Gonzalez, Northwest 23rd Avenue, was arrested Dec. 25 by OCSO and charged with DUI and driving without a license. Breathalyzer results were reported as 0.163 and 0.169. Bond was set at $1,250.
• Jose Reyes Espinoza, 41, Northeast 31st Terrace, was arrested Dec. 26 by OCSO and charged with lewd and lascivious molestation/victim under the age of 12 and battery. Bond was set at $200,000.
• Cory Jenkins, 31, Northeast 14th Avenue, was arrested Dec. 22 by OCSO and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and failure to have required endorsement on drivers license. Bond was set at $5,500.
• Salvador Medrano, 17, Northeast 80th Avenue, was arrested Dec. 28 by OCSO and charged with two counts grand theft auto and petit theft. Bond was set at $11,000.
• Glenda Shank, 32, Lake Drive, was arrested Dec. 28 by ONTF and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. Bond was set at $5,000.
• Jose Enrique Acevedo, 34, U.S. 441 Southeast, was arrested on Dec. 29 by OCSO and charged with violation of probation for fleeing and eluding a LEO and battery on a LEO. He is being held without bond.
• Tyrone Demetius, 35, Quincy, Fla, was arrested on Dec. 29 by OCSO and charged with a controlled substance defined provisions. His bond was set at $5,000.
• Darrell David Nettles, 51, Northwest 30th Street, was arrested on Dec. 29 by OCSO and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession/use of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $5,500.
• Michael Lee Graf, 45, U.S. 441 Southeast, was arrested on Dec. 29 by OCSO and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession/use of drug paraphernalia, and contempt of court for possession of methamphetamines. He is being held without bond.
