• Okeechobee City Fire Department responded to 23 medical/EMS, one fire-related and five motor vehicle accident calls last week.
• Okeechobee County Fire Rescue responded to a call on Sept. 20 at approximately 11:45 p.m. Regarding a medical emergency in the 1200 block of Northeast 10th Street. The site was cleared at approximately midnight.
• OCFR responded to a call on Sept. 21 at approximately 12:44 a.m. regarding a power line down. In the 2600 block of Northwest Fourth Street. When they arrived, the caller showed them where the trouble was, and they remained on scene until FP&L arrived and secured power to the area.
• OCFR responded to a call on Sept. 22 at approximately 7:30 p.m. regarding a brush fire in the 4400 block of Southeast 22nd Court. The site was cleared by approximately 8 p.m.
