OKEECHOBEE- The 2024 Best of the Lake Awards were held on May 16 at the Okeechobee KOA.
Businesses from around Lake Okeechobee who earned the most votes from the community were recognized. Over 50,000 votes were cast in more than 87 categories.
Anita Suarez was recognized as the Person of the Year. Sutton Rucks earned the Red Larson Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Agriculture Community.
