Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office has received several calls from residents stating that a Lt. Josh Allen is calling from the OCSO. This is a scam!

Scam warning! Calls are not from OCSO

OKEECHOBEE -- Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office has received several calls from residents stating that a Lt. Josh Allen is calling from the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office Jail or Civil Division. The caller states that he received documentation that the resident has failed to show up for Federal Grand Jury, and should rectify the issue.

THIS IS A SCAM!
 
These calls are not from the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office.
 
There is no Lt. Josh Allen at OCSO. OCSO will not contact  citizens via telephone regarding a jury summons. 
 
OCSO will never call to solicit money to pay for a fine or warrant.
