Stuart museum plans 'A Land Remembered' exhibit

Posted

STUART -- The Elliott Museum, 825 Ocean Blvd, Stuart, is honored to be creating what is envisioned to become the most comprehensive museum exhibition ever dedicated to Patrick D. Smith's beloved novel, "A Land Remembered."

More than an exhibit, this will be a deeply immersive journey through Florida's untamed frontier, bringing the pages of this treasured story to life through original artwork, rare artifacts, authentic historical objects, wildlife, interactive experiences, and compelling storytelling. Working alongside the Smith family, historians, artists, cultural organizations, and partners from across Florida, the goal is to create an unforgettable experience that celebrates the people, landscapes, heritage, and spirit that made "A Land Remembered" one of Florida's most cherished literary treasures.

The exhibition will run from Dec. 1, 2026 to August 30, 2027. If you have something to add to the exhibit, or if you know someone who should be invited to participate, please email rsteele@hsmc-fl.com
