Two killed in head-on collision on SR 710

INDIANTOWN – An Okeechobee man died in a collision on State Road 710 on Sept. 23, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the PBSO report, a 2007 Crown Vic, driven by a 70-year-old Okeechobee man, was traveling north on SR-710. For unknown reasons, the vehicle served to the left and entered the southbound lane.

A 2034 Dodge 3500 truck, driven by a 59-year-old Loxahatchee man, was traveling north. The Crown Vic impacted the front of the Dodge. Post collision, the Crown Vic rebounded backwards and to rest on the drainage embankment.

The driver of the Crown Vic was killed in the crash. A passenger in the vehicle, a 63-year-old Fort Pierce woman was also killed.

The driver of the Dodge truck was seriously injured. A passenger in the vehicle, a 61-year-old Loxahatchee woman was also seriously injured.
