JACKSONVILLE – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Jacksonville District will host a Restoration, Coordination, Verification (RECOVER) monthly virtual informational meeting, Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025.
RECOVER is an interdisciplinary collaboration of agencies, tribes, and institutions that conducts scientific and technical evaluations and assessments to improve the ability of Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) to restore, preserve, and protect the South Florida ecosystem while providing for the region’s other water-related needs.
RECOVER applies a system-wide perspective to the planning and implementation of the CERP and communicates and coordinates the results of these evaluations and assessments to managers, decision makers, and the public.
The RECOVER Monthly Virtual Informational Meeting will focus on new tools for predicting and assessing Harmful Algae Blooms (HABs) in Lake Okeechobee and the Northern Estuaries.
