Wrestling Club places seventh

OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee Wrestling Club (OWC) attended the Florida AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) 2019 Spring States on Saturday, May 11, at Bayside High School in Palm Bay. Thirty-two members of the OWC team participated in the tournament. Okeechobee placed seventh over all out of 70 teams.


The results are as follows:
• Kindergarten through first grades: 45-pound Levi English placed third, heavyweight Evan Marcos De Oca placed second and Travis Roberts placed first.

• Fourth through fifth grades: Heavyweight Tyler Wagoner placed second and heavyweight Wyatt Clere placed third.

Charlie Armstrong placed first and Presten Pineiro placed first.


• Sixth through eighth grades: 110-pound Presten Pineiro placed first, 117-pound Charlie Armstrong placed first and 200-pound Aidan Koos placed third.

• Junior varsity: 220-pound Jose Monrroy placed first, 285-pound Jayme Scurry placed first and 220-pound Todd Addington placed third.
