OKEECHOBEE – A gofundme.com page has been set up to help with the funeral for a 21-year-old Okeechobee woman who died in a car accident.

The website explains: "Kayleigh Carter passed away in an untimely accident on Oct. 1, 2026, and this loss has left so many hearts broken. Kayleigh was only 21 years old and was a single mother to a wonderful young son. She was vibrant, beautiful inside and out, and always known for her kindness and smile. Kayleigh loved her son more than life itself, and that love showed in everything she did. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. As Becki and those closest to Kayleigh grieve this unimaginable loss, they are also facing the unexpected burden of planning her final arrangements.
