We are elated to be the first to bring the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office into compliance with the Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission.
I want to thank and congratulate my entire staff for this accomplishment because, at the end of the day, it is every man and woman in this office who made this possible and, in turn, made us successful.
Almost three years of work has gone into the process of complying with the standards set by the Commission, which are considered best practices in the law enforcement industry. Based on the standards of policing, the accreditation serves to highlight the professionalism of the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office and deliver continual improvement to services for the community.
This is a significant accomplishment and aligns well with the Office’s mission to strive for professional excellence and provide outstanding service to the community that we are entrusted to protect.
I value the benefits that these best practices bring to our operation and am thankful that our employees and residents will experience the improvement. Now, we shift to the Corrections side of the house and finalize with Communications.
Once again, I congratulate each and every member of my staff on their unwavering support and commitment to improving our Sheriff’s Office!
