Northern lights may be visible June 6

Floridians may have a chance to see the northern lights on June 6.

Strong solar flares are predicted. The sunspot will be facing earth on June 6.

June 6 will be a moonless night. So if there is no cloud cover, aurora borealis may be seen as far south as Florida.

Check the NOAA website for 30 minute forecasts.

To see the lights, you will need to get away from city lights. Kissimmee Prairie State Park is a designated "dark skies" park.
