Raymond Clark Tullos

Clark Tullos, 86, a resident of Midway, AL, passed away at his home surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the home of the deceased with Rev. David Stewart officiating and Gray Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Arlington Baptist Church in Arlington Community, MS with burial to follow in Arlington Cemetery directed by McClain-Hays Funeral Service directing. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.

Clark was born at home in Arlington, MS to Alton V. and Neva W. Tullos. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1956 and was a graduate of Mississippi State. His first job was with the Department of Forestry. He owned the engineering and surveying company, Johnson-Prewitt and Associates, Inc. in Clewiston, FL. Clark was on the Board of Directors of Olde Cypress Bank, a member of the Engineering Society of Florida, and a member of the Lions Club. He became a permanent resident of Bullock County in 2000. When asked why he moved to Bullock County, he said, "two things: deer and turkey." Clark was a deacon and Treasurer of Midway Baptist Church and a founding member of the Bullock County Gideons.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brianna Denea Dorris.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Leota "Cookie" Tullos; daughter, Dawn Marie Smith; two grandchildren, Christopher A. Miranda (Sarde) and Taran N. Miranda; great-granddaughter, Clarissa Marie Miranda; two brothers, Wayne Tullos and Jerry Tullos (Dottie); numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be, Daniel Scharn, Hunter Scharn, J D Burkett, Angel Miranda, Kelly Torres, and Pablo Llossa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, 176 Fitzpatrick St, Fitzpatrick, AL 36029.
