HIGHLANDS COUNTY -- Visitors to the Highlands County Heritage Festival at the Edna Pearce Lockett Estate on the Kissimmee River lined up to tour the historic home, which has been repaired and restored by the current owner after two decades of neglect.
Festival officials -- some in period attire -- told visitors about the Pearce family history in Florida.
The home now features period furniture and some items that belonged to Edna Pearce Lockett.
