Use state system to get on waitlist for COVID-19 vaccination

Publix and Walmart also scheduling vaccinations

As the COVID-19 vaccinations continue, Florida is expected to receive more than 300,000 doses of the vaccine this week, according to the Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Most counties are now using the state online reservation system at myvaccine.fl.gov. Those who register are placed on a waitlist and are called to schedule an appointment when vaccine is available in their area.

Total South Central Florida County vaccinations, as of the Feb. 8 DOH report were:
• Glades County: 773;
• Hendry County: 2,298;
• Martin County: 23,684
• Okeechobee County: 3,339
• Palm Beach County: 192,952;
• Collier County: 48,640.

Publix pharmacies
COVID-19 vaccinations are available in limited quantities at Publix Pharmacies. Eligible customers can access COVID-19 vaccine appointments. This includes Publix pharmacies in Martin, Okeechobee and Palm Beach counties. Vaccination appointments are scheduled online only. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or the Publix Pharmacy. Appointments cannot be made at the store. To register, go online to www.publix.com/covid-vaccine/florida. As of 9 a.m. Feb. 12, all appointments for the Okeechobee Publix were fully booked. More appointments will be open for scheduling starting Friday, Feb. 12 at 7 a.m.

Walmart
On Tuesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced some Walmart pharmacies will also be vaccination spots in Florida. Go online to walmart.com/COVIDvaccine to check on availability.

Glades County
Health officials urge currently eligible Florida residents to save their place in line by pre-registering today. Go to myvaccine.fl.gov If you do not have internet access, call 866-201-6695 for Glades County.

Hendry County
COVID-19 vaccines continue to arrive in Hendry County in extremely limited supply. As Hendry County awaits additional vaccine supply from the Federal Government, health officials urge currently eligible Florida residents to save their place in line by pre-registering today. Go to myvaccine.fl.gov to register or 866-201-6745 for Hendry County.

Martin County
The Florida Department of Health, Martin County is participating in the statewide registration system to schedule COVID-19 appointments for individuals 65 and older and frontline health care workers. Individuals can pre-register for vaccine appointments and be notified when appointments are available. Pre-register online by visiting myvaccine.fl.gov. For those without internet access, call 1-866-201-7037 for Martin County.

Okeechobee County
Okeechobee County will have 450 doses of vaccine which will be given on Friday at the Agri-Civic center by appointment only. To sign up for the appointment list, go online by visiting myvaccine.fl.gov. For those without internet access, call 866-201-1060 for Okeechobee County.
Consent forms are available online at okeechobee.floridahealth.gov/programs-and-services/covid.html or at the Okeechobee County Public Library.
Please have the consent forms filled out and proof of Florida residency documents ready when you arrive. If you do not have a Florida driver’s license or Florida ID card issued by the driver’s license office, you will need to bring two documents to prove you own or rent a residence in Florida.
Those who already had their first dose and are ready for their second dose will be contacted by the health department, or the agency which administered their first dose to arrange an appointment for the second dose.

Palm Beach County
From Dec 29, 2020 to Jan 19, 2021 the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County received over 200,000 COVID-19 vaccine appointment requests. The Health Care District of Palm Beach County has been working through this list and is contacting people directly. At this time those looking to make an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine should use a Publix pharmacy. There are 67 locations in Palm Beach County. You may make an appointment on their website publix.com/covidvaccine.
