Raised in Southwest Florida my entire life and with family ties to Hendry County for over seventeen years, the future growth and success of our county is important to me. I currently have the privilege of volunteering on the board for the Hendry Regional Medical Center Foundation and the LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corporation.
Married for eighteen years to my husband Todd, we live in LaBelle with our two beautiful children, ages 10 and 8. My husband has been serving our community as the local meat manager since 1999 and we both enjoy volunteering in our children’s 4H club and youth sports.
As parents, we endeavor to instill our faith in God in our children’s lives, while teaching them to be responsible for their actions. We try to teach them honesty, commitment, and integrity in all we do.
I began my career in local government in February of 1997. My background includes over 19 years in public service including, 18 years’ experience working in a Tax Collector’s office that generates $1.3 billion dollars a year in tax revenue and offering services such as driver’s license, birth certificates, and concealed weapons.
I have been instrumental in the strategic planning and process improvements necessary to maintain the development, growth, and success of the organization while providing exceptional customer service.
My professional experiences include: Administration, Legal Services Management, Human Resources Administration, and Customer Service Management. I am designated as a Certified Public Manager through Florida State University and I also have my certifications in Managing a Florida Tax Collectors Office and Duties and Responsibilities of a Florida Tax Collector.
I will bring qualified, trustworthy, and experienced leadership to all citizens of Hendry County. Having the knowledge and experience relating to the proper collection and administrative function behind the accounting of your hard earned tax dollars is too important and it is essential to sustaining growth and quality of life here in Hendry County.
I am committed to honesty and integrity in both my personal and professional life and will always have an open door making myself available to serve the community. I welcome the opportunity to speak with any individual or group leading up to the election so that you can make an informed decision when you vote.
You can reach me at 239-462-8742 or by email at amy.collins4u@yahoo.com. I look forward to the opportunity to serving each and every citizen in Hendry County.
