NAPLES — LaBelle High School sophomore Bryan Reyes represented the Cowboys at the Kornblue Kicker Showcase this summer.
The Kornblue Kicker Showcase is high-profile, two-day competition for high school and college kickers, punters, and long snappers. It’s designed to give elite special teams athletes a platform to showcase their skills to college coaches, scouts, and recruiters, often leading to scholarship offers
Bryan showed range and consistency at the showcase, knocking through six field goals on eight attempts, including a massive 50-yard field goal.
Last season with the Cowboys, Bryan had an average of 49 kickoff yards for LaBelle, including five touchbacks.
The Kornblue Kicker Showcase is known for producing dozens of scholarships each year and for launching careers of standout athletes. For example, former Florida Gators kicker Eddy Pineiro gained national attention at the Spring 2015 showcase.
