Christmas in the Park

You-Know-Who will make his annual visit to Christmas in the Park this Friday, December 4! The parade will gather at the Dollar General parking lot about 5 p.m. to head down Main Street to Barron Park. That’s where Susie Snowflake will deposit a load of the cold white stuff. There will also be a bounce house and games to enjoy and, of course, Santa will be waiting in the gazebo to hear your Christmas wishes.

Hot dogs, pop corn, snow cones, soda and water for just $1 each. A big helping of nachos and cheese will be $3.

Light up LaBelle

The LaBelle Chamber of Commerce is asking businesses to showcase their best Christmas spirit and share it with their neighbors and customers. Pick up a simple registration form from the chamber.

Register by December 8 for judging at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Christmas Sing-a-long

The Firehouse Community Theater presents the First Annual Christmas Carol Sing Along to benefit Toys For Tots Saturday, December 5, at 7 p.m. at the Firehouse. Admission is a new, unwrapped toy or $10 to be donated to Toys For Tots.

Breakfast with Santa

Saturday, December 5, Santa will visit the LaBelle American Legion Post 130 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The American Legion Auxilary will serv a pancake & sausage breakfast with milk, orange juice and coffee, free for children 8 & under, $3 for adults and 9 yrs and older. Santa will have a gift for boys and girls 8 and under. The Legion is on SR80, across from the Shell Station.

First Bank, chamber social

Tonight: First Bank and the LaBelle Chamber of Commerce’s annual social December 3 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres with lots of Christmas cheer!

Giving Tree

Time for the City of LaBelle’s annual Giving Tree at City Hall. Pick a name and play Santa to one of the residents at LaBelle’s nursing homes.

The Kiwanis Key Club Students of LaBelle High School and the Kiwanis Builders Club Students of West Glades School annual Christmas tree sale fundraiser continues until they are all sold!

Kid’s Christmas Shopping

Saturday, December 12, from 8:30-10 a.m. bring your children and/or grandchildren ages 4-10 years old to the Kiwanis Thrift Store to do their own Christmas Shopping for their parents/grandparents. Give them their shopping allowance and they will be assisted by a Kiwanis member while mom, dad or guardian patiently wait on the porch visiting and enjoying coffee and juice. The Kiwanis Key Club members will wrap presents. The Thrift Store will open for regular shopping at 10 a.m. For more information call the Thrift Store at 863-675-4043.

Cookies, Carol’n & Christmas

The first annual Christmas Downtown, will include Cookies, Carol’n and more. It takes place from Fort Thompson and north to Formerly Yours Consignment Shop. Entertainers will set a festive mood as you stroll along the street, shopping vendor booths, and enjoying Christmas treats, all between 5-7 p.m. At 7, you’ll want to participate in the Tree Lighting, and then make your way over to the beautiful Caloosahatchee River to take in the boat parade, hosted by Heritage Museum.

Boat Parade

Come join the floating fun. Any amount of decoration will do, but the more the better. It starts at 7:30 p.m.
