Increased COVID-19 Testing Capabilities

Posted

Hendry/Glades - Testing capabilities for COVID-19 have now been increased for residents of Hendry and Glades Counties. The Hendry County Health Department now has collection sites for COVID-19 testing in LaBelle and Clewiston. Residents must coordinate the testing request through their healthcare provider. The healthcare provider will provide the resident with a testing requisition from Quest Diagnostics. The resident then calls the Health Department to make an appointment.

There are no restrictions for being tested.

This will enable healthcare providers who currently do not test at their facilities with the capability to have their clients tested locally. There will now be 2 testing locations in LaBelle and 4 testing locations in Clewiston.

Please stop the spread of COVID-19:

  • Stay at home while you wait for your test results
  • Stay at home if you are sick, or if you have been around someone who has been sick.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes
  • Clean and disinfect frequently used surfaces

You are safer at home. If you must go out for essential items such as food or medication, please remember: 6 feet of space and cover your face!
