LABELLE – A 51-year-old LaBelle man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on State Road 80 West, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
According to the FHP report, the accident occurred at approximately 8:34 p.m. on March 10, west of Cedarwood Parkway.
The vehicle was traveling at “a high rate of speed,” according to FHP. The vehicle failed to negotiate a right curve, traveled onto the grass media and overturned.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and came to rest in the eastbound travel lanes. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
