On Saturday May 27, the River’s Edge Motel played host to a Memorial Day Barbecue.
The barbecue started at noon with hot dogs and hamburgers and at 4pm they started serving pulled pork from award winning Bobby’s Bangin’ Bob-B-Que and a beverage truck serving up cold drinks.
There was a bounce house for the kids, $1 kayak rentals, horse shoes, corn hole, live music, and a tented seating area for the patrons. The barbecue coincided with the first ever Memorial Day Weekend Bass Fishing Tournament.
After the sun set there was an awesome display of fireworks to wrap up the celebration.
The event was open to the public and proceeds benefited the local VFW.
