LABELLE – Beginning Tuesday, July 6, Hendry County’s contractor, Zep Construction, Inc., will be conducting sidewalk construction from near the intersection of Kell Mill Boulevard and CR78 to SR29 along the south side of old CR78 in LaBelle.
The project includes sidewalk construction, drainage work, curb and gutter, and guardrail installation.
The speed limit will be reduced through the project area.
Motorists should expect lane closures and possible delays throughout the duration of the project and allow extra time for their commute.
Motorists and pedestrians should use extra caution when traveling through the work zone.
The project is expected to have a completion time of approximately one hundred twenty (120) days to one hundred fifty (150) days.
Construction operations will occur during weekdays, Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Construction Start: July 6
• Construction End: December 2
Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to change. The Hendry County Engineering Department will notify of any changes.
The project is funded by the Florida Department of Transportation via the Local Agency Program state grant in the amount of $202,237.
