Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible

Pope St. Damasus had an idea of one book containing all the books of sacred scripture. He called this new book “Sacra Biblia.” In English “The Holy Library,” today we call it the “Holy Bible.” The Church Council of Rome 382 AD, Council of Hippo 393 AD, and the Council of Carthage II 397 AD recommend the books to St. Damasus. St. Damasus chose 73 books for the final compiling of the Bible and assigned St. Jerome to translate and compile the book.

Come to the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church adult Bible study “Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible” this winter. This study will be of 14 narrative books in the New Testament and Old Testament from The Great Adventury Bible Study using the Bible Timeline developed by Jeff Cavins. Study Coordinator Eric Myer (863) 517-1096.
