Jordan Parrish was raised in LaBelle, and graduated from LaBelle High School in 2004. He attended Edison Community College where he earned his A.A. degree in 2006. In 2011, he graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
During high school and while studying to receive his bachelor’s degree, Jordan worked part-time as a technician at his family’s business – Family Eye Care. Having grown up around family members who were eye care professionals, Jordan knew early on that this was going to be his calling. Not only did he find the work interesting and fulfilling, he really enjoyed working with and helping the patients he interacted with each day.
Wanting to join the family eye care business as a doctor, Jordan moved to Fort Lauderdale and attended Nova Southeastern University. There, he obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2016. During his time in Fort Lauderdale, Jordan had in-depth training in treating eye disease. He worked alongside some of the nation’s leading optometrists and ophthalmologists, first at Fort Lauderdale Eye Institute, and then Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He also received an international award in the treatment and management of dry eye disease.
Dr. Jordan Parrish is married to Stephanie who is a second grade teacher at LaBelle Elementary School. They just welcomed their first child, Corbin, in August. Dr. Parrish is excited to settle down and plant his roots back in his hometown.
Although he could have chosen to work elsewhere, Dr. Parrish knew he wanted to return home and “stay in LaBelle to give back to the community who have supported his family’s business for so many years.” Now he is back and excited to announce that he has joined Family Eye Care. He enjoys working alongside his father, Dr. Randy Parrish, his cousin Dr. Lamar Youmans, and his uncle, Tom Parrish, Licensed Optician. The doctors are all board certified optometric physicians.
