The 50th Annual Swamp Cabbage Queen and Princess Pageant lived up to its high expectations! At the end of the evening, the judges had arrived at a decision: Kasey Whidden,  was wearing the 2016 Miss Swamp Cabbage Queen crown and Kayla Wills was the new Princess.

From beginning to end the event showcased some of LaBelle’s most lovely, talented and poised young ladies. The talent was exceptional with top awards going to Kayla Wills, who captured the audience with her personality filled Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy clog for the Princess portion, and in the Queen cagtegory young comic Alyssa Johnson, who had the crowd in stitches with her unique stand up routine.

Miss Whidden was also named Miss Photogenic and Miss Wills was voted Miss Congeniality by the Princess contestants.

Miss Taylor Nees was the judges’ choice as Most Photogenic in the Princess category. She is pictured in the evening gown competition.
