LABELLE — The Scarecrows on the Wharf, hosted by LaBelle MomCo, will be held Monday, Nov. 17 through Saturday, Nov. 29 at the LaBelle City Wharf (Barron Library side).
The theme this year is “Make It Awkward.” This can be a recreation of an awkward photo shoot or characters that don’t quite fit into social norms - examples are Mad Hatter, Willy Wonka, etc.
Registration and scarecrow name is due on Saturday, Nov. 7. Pick-up and drop off location is at the LaBelle City Wharf. For online registration forms and rules go to https//forms.gle/aYAqrTdddj82vrdbA
Registration fees and categories:
Individual/family: $10
Late registration: Registration through Nov. 13 will cost an additional $10 fee.
Removal of scarecrow displays is Saturday, Nov. 29 - Sunday, Nov. 30 after the award ceremony.
Competition:
• VIP judging is Monday, Nov. 17.
• People’s Choice Voting will be held Monday, Nov. 17 - Sunday, Nov. 23.
The money raised during the event goes to fees associated with buying awards and supplies to host the event. Any remaining funds go to LaBelle MomCo to pay for their Charter with MomCo International.
