Sheriff Whidden swears in new members of HCSO

LABELLE — On July 16, Sheriff Steve Whidden had the honor of swearing in three new members of the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office.

HCSO welcomed their new and returning deputies to the agency:

• Deputy R. Angelo joins HCSO with approximately 2.5 years of prior law enforcement experience.

• Deputy G. Hull returns to the agency after a leave from law enforcement, having previously served for approximately 7 years.

• Deputy M. Huapilla began his career as a correctional officer, where he served for about 10 years before transitioning to law enforcement, accumulating nearly a total of 18 years of experience.

All three deputies are currently assigned to the patrol unit.
