LABELLE- Three LaBelle Middle School Bronco girls basketball players have been selected to participate in the 2024 All-Star basketball game this summer.
Amari Jackson, Cassie Taylor, and Kamryn Johnson will all represent LaBelle in the All-Star All-State basketball game for the top 6th-8th graders in Florida.
The LMS girls basketball team has put together two back-to-back undefeated seasons under head coach Jeff Gonzales. Gonzales was proud to see the girls selected for the All-State game.
“They’re leaders,” said Gonzales. “They’re student-athletes with ‘student’ coming first. They have a great grades. They’re dedicated hard workers and it’s hard to find young people that age who will follow things through. Especially working as hard as they have balancing school and extra-curricular at such an early time in life.”
Amari, Cassie, and Kamryn were nominated by multiple coaches on the state committee to represent LaBelle in the All-State game.
The All-State game is scheduled for June 13-15 at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach. The event culminates with an awards ceremony, with MVP Awards and gold medals presented to the All State Game top players on the winning teams.
