Betty A. Foss, 92, of Valrico, Florida, passed away on October 8, 2026.
Born on August 30, 1934 in Oswego New York, Betty lived a life centered on family, hard work, and service to others. She shared 27 wonderful years with her loving husband, Roger Foss, and deeply treasured the life they built together.
Betty had a special love for animals, and animal rescue was one of her greatest passions. She generously devoted countless hours of her time to caring for animals and supporting several shelters and rescue organizations in Okeechobee, Florida, and Blairsville, Georgia. Her compassion and dedication made a difference in the lives of many animals in need.
Betty is survived by her son, Mark (Tammy) Owen and family; daughter, Michelle (John) Fusco; stepdaughter, Jill (Don) Rigoulot and family; stepdaughter, Ann Foss and family, and daughter in law Kim Owen and family. She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Owen; daughter, Sandra Owen; and her beloved husband, Roger Foss.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring in Valrico, Florida. Family and friends will be invited to gather in remembrance of Betty and celebrate her life, once plans have been finalized.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to K&C Pet Rescue and Adoption Society, P.O. Box 399, Glen Saint Mary, FL.
